My Story
When I was five, my parents moved from the New York City area to Tennessee, where they sunk their life savings into a drycleaner. One became two; two became four. Eventually they developed a small shopping center and seeded a restaurant and a liquor store among its first tenants. My childhood dinner table conversations were about customers, employees, decisions, challenges. I was hooked.
College brought a major in finance, which led to a first job out of school with Lehman Brothers. I went back during my graduate school summer internship, which was 2008. You know how that story ends!
The blessing of going through the greatest economic crisis of our lifetimes was realizing my passion for SMBs. I subsequently joined Bloomberg as employee #11 in a captive start-up, which led to joining a bank doing leveraged lending in support of middle-market healthcare and technology private equity deals, which led to joining a small real estate developer, which is where I first came to lead a financial organization.
From there, I filled in some gaps: seeing the growth from small- to medium-sized while adding corporate development and board experience.
In late 2022, I wrote my own business plan.
Values came first: integrity, durability, excellence, creativity, and courage.
The customers: SMBs, founder-owners, their families, and their investors.
The products: fractional support and entrepreneurial ventures.
I look for clients with resonate visions and shared values. This is the most gratifying work of my career. Iām honored to contribute in my own small way to the efforts of so many great teams.
